Below is the email that the homeowner with the complaint sent me. I am going to respond to them with a
letter, you might have to help me write it.
Glenn has agreed to remove the silt and fix the pilot channel to help drain better.

Needless to say, my wife and I are extremely disappointed in how you've handled this. We

filled in by our neighbors recent (2yrs ongoing) construction. I felt confident the city

Attached are two photographs. Both are taken at the same spot. One photo is looking
upstream where you can see water pooling after the recent rain storm. The other photo is
looking downstream where the water is supposed to flow. You'll notice there is NO WATER
FLOWING. This is because the elevation of the stream has changed and the width of the
stream has narrowed considerably.
Please notice how wide the stream is upstream and how narrow it is downstream. It
certainly is not hard to figure out the constricted width and elevation will restrict water
from flowing. It also seems very obvious that this could not possibly be the original
configuration of the stream.
The damage this has done to our retaining wall and our backyard is extensive. Given that
neither the city nor our neighbors are willing do to anything to remedy this, we will pursue
other means.

Please note that we are cc'ing our lawyer on this and will pursue whatever legal lengths it
takes to remedy this situation.
We are simply asking for the creek to be restored to the depth and width it was prior to
the rezoning that the City of Coppell approved. We hold the neighbors responsible as well
as the City of Coppell.
We have been more than patient as we've been asking for action on this issue for well
over two years now. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
Before you hear from our lawyer, I am asking you to respond to this as to what actions
will be taken. This time, I desire the truth. Last time we spoke you told me this would be
remedied and here we are a month later and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
