Subject: BURY THE POWER LINES NOW WHILE COPPELL ROAD UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Our family is very concerned and upset that after waiting many years for the improvements to Coppell
Road, the power poles & lines will not be buried underground along with the other utility services. Is
there anything that can be done that will change this while construction is underway and we can have a
truly improved Coppell Road? The west side of Coppell has been the red-headed stepchild for too long.
VERIZON NOT COOPERATING WITH CITY OF COPPELL AND COPPELL ROAD
NEIGHBORHOODS. Verizon worked aggressively to sell their services but has become significant
obstacle to street & community improvements along Coppell Road. Residents on the west side of
Coppell have waited years to have similar conveniences as their eastside Coppell neighbors ---
sidewalks along primary roadway and buried utility service lines for improved aesthetics.
Unfortunately, Verizon has blocked the installation of buried power lines at this time, the power poles
& overhead lines will be reinstalled along and will be costly to Coppell taxpayers to bury lines in the
future after current road construction has been completed.
