RE: Dallas Water Supply Line #3
You will recall we met with representatives of Shimek, Jacobs &
Finklea, Consulting Engineers on November 13, 1991, regarding the
above referenced matter. As a result of this meeting staff was
asked to meet with the City's Engineer and determine whether
relocating the proposed pump station on Hackberry Road at South
Beltline Road would be feasible in order to take advantage of some
cost sharing for the construction of future water lines needed by
Coppell, Lewisville and Flower Mound.
Attached is the evaluation from Ginn & Case, Inc.. Additionally,
a letter from the City of Irving which outlines a proposed schedule
for the construction of the above referenced water line is
attached.
Public Works and Engineering will be meeting with representatives
of both Irving and Dallas Water Utilities this Friday to discuss
this matter further.
Staff will keep you apprised.
