This project calls out the 3~d Edition of the COG Spec. Item 5.8.2 of this spec with regards to Contraction Joints
requires that we sawcut within a 5 to 12 hour window unless it is listed on the plans. To meet this spec, we would
have to stop our paving by 1:00 PM so that we are not sawing concrete after 6:00 PM. If we paved past 1:00 PM
we could not saw within the 12 hour limit.
This requirement changed in the 4th Edition
Could you get a clarification?
