Subject: Coppell Road Traffic
Mr. Fike & Mrs. Harrell,
I had a parent of one of the summer school children come to see me yesterday about traffic concerns around the school
during the pick-up time. She indicated that there were some drivers that were trying to get past the school that actually
got out of their cars and began yelling at the parents waiting to pick up their kids.
I have discussed this situation with some of the other city staff members, and we would like to meet out there with you to
see if there is a way to get more of the cars onto the school property and off the street. Once school lets out, the traffic
seems to disperse relatively quickly, but for about 15 minutes prior to the release Coppell Road is completely blocked.
The sooner one of you is available to meet, the better as I will be leaving on vacation for two weeks at the end of the day
