Robert,
I have several concerns about the progress of this project. My biggest concern is for the safety of pedestrians and
vehicular traffic traveling through the work area. As the excavation is being done on the west side of the road there is a
vertical cut right at the edge of the travel lane with no shoring and no barrier to prevent vehicles from driving off into the
cut. This operation will also be removing the area pedestrians were routed between Archer and the school crosswalk to the
north. There are no alternate locations being prepared to accommodate these pedestrians.
I am concerned about the existence of these conditions, and the length of time they may remain. At our Thursday morning
meeting Randy was unable to give me any schedule on when the storm drain laterals would begin, or even how long it will
take for the excavation, let alone when asphalt would be placed and traffic would be moved over.
The city of Coppell is very concerned with the adequacy of supervision on this project. There are several items that are
continually pointed out to the superintendent that take weeks to be addressed. Tiseo is obligated under the terms of our
contract to provide a superintendent with full authority to act on behalf the contractor. We do not think the current level of
staffing between this project and the Bethel Road project is adequate.

I have received complaints about tall grass and weeds within the work
area of the Coppell Road Project. The are of the complain is along the
east side of the road north of the school.

Under the provisions of our contract Tiseo has a responsibility to abate
this. I have requested that Randy address this, however nothing has
been done. Please have someone get in there with a weed eater and knock
this grass down.
