Keith,
I'm a home owner in the Villas of Deer Run community on Hawken Dr. off of S.
Coppell Road. We have been inconvenienced by the construction project on S.
Coppell, but we have been willing to accommodate the road projects and
overlook our normal conveniences for the sake of our town and community.
A few weeks ago, my wife received a large steel nail that punctured the
sidewall of her back left tire on her vehicle. The puncture wasn't
repairable due to the location of the object so we were forced to purchase a
new tire for replacement. We are wondering if you have had any other
reports of punctured vehicle tires along this road construction route from
Sandy Lake to Cooper lane? Please let me know if the contractor can be held
accountable for the damage we received. Normally I would pass this off as a
normal everyday object that she could have picked on the road, but due to
the unusual object and the uncommon location on the tire we are lead to
believe this was picked up along the construction route we travel on a daily
basis to get to our home. I appreciate your assistance in the matter and
please let me know how we can proceed.
I've attached several pictures of the tire & object. Also, we have retained
the steel spike/nail and we're happy to provide it to you or the contracting
company. Thank you again for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Zach Sands
