ST9905-CS080403 (8/22/2011) Keith Marvin - Re: FW: Bethel Rd ST99-05Page 1 From: Keith Marvin To:Smith, Lance Date: 4/3/2008 1:58 PM Subject: Re: FW: Bethel Rd ST99-05 Lance, Here is my take on the following: #2 - Please provide a cost for the difference between the count down signal and the standard LED signal. #3 - I don't have a source for the LED confirmation light. If one is not readily available, please provide the unit specified. #4 - The rack vision system is not compatible with our communication system. Please provide the Terra system. #6 - The radio system specified in the letter is in lieu of the spread spectrum radio and antenna specified in the documents. These traffic signals were bid at a per each price. As such any change order requests will need to show the actual value of the item bid, and the value of the item we are requesting to substitute. Feel free to call me to discuss this. Keith Keith Marvin, P.E. If you have a preferred source for the equipment in question please forward their info and I will send it to Mel's. Thanks for your help. Subject: Bethel Rd ST99-05 Lance, (8/22/2011) Keith Marvin - Re: FW: Bethel Rd ST99-05Page 2 On March 25th, you faxed a letter from the City of Coppell regarding the traffic signal submittals. There are several items referenced that are different from the specifications of the project when it was bid: #2 - The City is requesting countdown modules for the pedestrian signals on one (1) crossing at Freeport Parkway. #3 - The confirmation light submitted is equal to the confirmation light specified. We have been unable to locate a source for LED confirmation lights. If the City prefers the LED unit, please have them supply a source. #4 - The Autoscope Terra equipment was not being sold locally when the project bid, nor is it specified. #6 - The radio system called for in the letter was not mentioned in the specifications. Therefore, we are receiving quotes from various suppliers to provide Tiseo Paving with a change order to cover these contract modifications. Should you have any questions, please let me know.
