Pursuant to your request in your March 29, 1996 letter, please find enclosed for your use
and information, one (1) copy of As-Built Ali~ment Drawing Nos. 237-AA-I014 and 231-AA-
1013 showing Explorer's existing 12.75-inch high pressure petroleum products pipeline across
subject area, and the marked up copy of your preliminary plato Your contact for pipeline locating,
staking and depth probing is:

Please include the following warning on all construction prints that involve Explorers
pipeline.
"WARNINGI!! Explorer's 12.75-Inch High Pressure
Petroleum Products Pipeline. Contact Richard Allen at
(903) 52%3151 at least 48 Hours Prior to Any
Construction Near Pipeline."
Please incorporate location of Explorers pipeline into your proposed plans. Also, when
developing your plans please keep in mind that:
Heavy equipment shall not be permitted to work over Explorer's 12.75-inch
pipeline, and no machine excavation within 15 feet of pipeline without prior
approval of Explorers field representative.

The minimum vertical cleanm~ for proposed below-ground utility ~rossings is
twenty-four (24) inches above/below pipeline and the minimum
clearance for proposed below-grouad longitudinal utih'ties will be daetmined based
on its depth in relation to Explo~r's pipeline, but in no case closer ~an five (5) feet.
With an Explorer Pipeline representative presang Explor~'s pipeline shall be
exposed during proposed boring operations to insure that bore bit doos not strike th~
pipeline. Upon casing ins~l~on, ~il backfill surro~ulding ~ above Explorer's
pipeline is to be compacted to a density equal to or greater than surrounding soil.
Once the plans for proposed improvements have been findiz~ please fon~zd a set for
review. Upon receipt and evaluation of final constmaion plans, Explorers speci/ie pro~ection
requirements will be determined and an encwachment or alteration agreement will be prepared for
execution by The City of Coppell.
