Official addresses concerns about Dallas Main Post Office at
town hall meeting

A proposal to move outgoing mail processing from the Dallas Main Post Office to Coppell remains on
track despite concerns from postal employees raised at a town hall meeting Monday night.
Tim Vierling, the No. 2 postal official in Dallas, said a final decision on any change will be made at the
national level. Dallas postal officials have signed off on the change and an area vice president, who
presides over afive-state region that includes Texas, will approve or reject the proposal.
Vierling spent most of meeting, in front of more than 100 people in Dallas City Council chambers,
answering questions from union leaders and submitted questions read by a moderator.
