I'll be out of town Friday. I can do Monday. I've attached the contract word documents. Let me know if
I've left something out.
I got a call from James Scott today regarding the Awarding at Council last week. Was it officially rewarded
last week?
I'll put together a sketch of the outfall.
Also, I talked with FWWR paving contractor. He had the following comments:
1. Do we need a railroad header? He said they've seen 6" of asphalt leading up to the concrete panels
instead of headers. If a header is necessary, it needs to be constructed before the panels are placed
because of continuity.
2. He said it's not an absolute, but if they panels can be constructed at once (related to your 1st point)
instead of halves, it helps with the continuity as well.
3. The panel width (Sidewalk B/B) will be 54'. He's working on an estimate and will get that to FWWR and
then will be sent to us.
I talked to Daniel Guido with FWWR about setting up the agreement between them and the City. He
would get back to me when he had a solid answer.

I need copies of the contract documents in Word format for our purchasing department. Can you send
me those?
I would also like to set up a meeting with the contractor to discuss Change Order No. 1. Items I know of:
1. Would closure of Coppell Road from Burns to the Farmers Market Driveway provide any benefit to
them? If so, How much savings could the city realize?
2. Changes you mentioned relative to Dart and Oncor.
3. Extension of the outfall to the east Property line of the Service Center. (can you sketch this)?
