Thank you for taking the time to speak with Clay Phillips, Deputy City Manager, concerning some
issues the city has had on Coppell Road. I've attached a time line that goes into greater detail. We
fully understand that there is little that can happen on Coppell Road at this time that will impact the
current relocations. However, the city is very appreciative of the recent efforts by Verizon to expedite
some of the critical conduit placements and splicing.
Our goal is to try to determine how best to work with Verizon so that some of the issues we have
experienced on Coppell Road do not resurface on future projects. We have several projects in the late
stages of design (Southwestern Blvd, Bethel Road and South Coppell Road) that should go to
construction later this year. If there is anything we can do or provide that would help expedite Verizon
relocations on those projects, please let us know.
