I talked to our structural Engineer about yourthoughts and he said it
may be more difficult to install the conduits with brackets on the side
of the bridge after construction is complete. What he is proposing is
actually done on almost every bridge he works on. So it's nothing out of
the ordinary. Also he said that if we install them after the bridge is
complete you will have something that looks a little ugly; especially
given the fact we have this nice looking rail on the bridge.
Please let me know how to proceed

Would it be easier to attach the conduit after the bridge is
constructed? I also don't think the gas company plans to attach to the
bridge any more.
