Had a phone message from Tom Kolko today asking why we didn't have power supplied for the signal. This is something they should have done last fall when I sent them the a-mail below. Tom's message indicated that he thought we were responsible for getting power. However, the service is in the City of Coppel being on the SE corner. Durable doesn't have any of their video detection or preemption installed, or the ped pole on the SE corner. But nothing is going to work unless they get their electrical service from Oncore. If they did have power, we could place the signal in flash. However, we really need the video detection working or else the signal will stop drivers on Denton Tap unnecessarily. Call me back if you need more info, but this is where we're at right now. John Black City Traffic Engineer City of Lewisville /Engineering 151 W. I thought you guys already had the power setup??? I sent this to Chad back in November. I'll give you a call in a little while. John Black City Traffic Engineer City of Lewisville /Engineering 151 W. You will need to call and place a request at 888-222-8045 for a new service at: 2902A Highland Dr. Coppell, TX The City of Lewisville building official gave me the new address, but the actual service is in the City of Coppell since your meter is on the SE corner. You will need to set up the account with ONCOR and when the signal is done, we will get it transferred over to us. The plans show TNMP (Texas New Mexico Power) as supplying the power, but you will need to set up an account with ONCOR before they will run service to your pedestal service. Since Coppell is wanting the signal installed ASAP, I figure you'll want to have the pedestal service called for in the plans to be installed before TNMP gets there. Also..... Kelly Roark worked with Verizon yesterday while they were boring fiber off the east curb of Denton Tap. They had several utilities exposed in the process and Kelly made sure the new fiber was not going to conflict with what's going in on our plans. Just go ahead and call 888-222-8045 and order your power because we tried and haven't been able to order the service you need for the signal. The places that I have called say they do not service this area. Maybe the contractor will have better luck since they do this often and should probably know how to find out who services where. I did speak w/Oncor and they told me the contractor can put the request in by calling 888-222-8045. If for some reason the request is rejected, maybe Oncor will come back and tell them who does service it. Hope this helps... I normally do not do anything with the electric at the contractor point. When the City takes it over and begins paying for it, I put a request into Direct Energy and send Janet in A/P the account number for payment. Thanks.
