St Joseph-CS090116(9/2/2009) DiWanna Baskins - RE: St. Joe's Complex Light From: "Thomas Family" <hobo2_houston1 @comcast.net> To: "'DiWanna Baskins"' <dbaskins@ci.coppell.tx.us> Date: 1/16/2009 7:55 PM Subject: RE: St. Joe's Complex Light Hello DiWanna, Thanks for getting back to me so soon. That is definitely an alternative, but I sure would like to see a light at that main entrance on Sandy Lake especially since the speed limit is 40 mph. Another added benefit would be if you were trying to make a left turn INTO the complex, there could be a left turn arrow. I just think that for the safety of the residents, coming and going, no matter what direction, there needs to be a light. They do not judge distances and speeds that well and their reaction time is not like it used to be. -----Original Message----- From: DiWanna Baskins [mailto:dbaskins@ci.coppell.tx.us] Sent: Friday, January 16, 2009 4:43 PM To: Thomas Family Subject: Re: St. Joe's Complex Light Hello Again, Andrea! I have attached an exhibit showing an alternate route that should make it easier to maneuver onto Sandy Lake (traveling west). When trying to travel west on Sandy Lake, I recommend using the east exit gate on St. Joseph's property and head south/west on Starleaf, then head north on MacArthur Blvd. The speed limit is lower than Sandy Lake and visibility should not be a problem. This route does not add much additional time. What are your thoughts? Sincerely, DiWanna Baskins Graduate Engineer Engineering Department (P)972-304-3562 (F)972-304-357 Page
