STAFF COMMENTS:
On July 18, 1995, bids were opened for Sanitary Sewer Improvements for Grapevine Creek III & IV and
Bethel Road. Due to the apparent confusion regarding the number of calendar days, staff recommends that
all bids submitted for Bid #Q-0595-02 be rejected by City Council. It was the City's intent to have all three
sections completed in 120 calendar days. However, seven of the nine bidders proposed more than 120
days. To insure no future confusion, the consultant has been instructed to rewrite and clarify the
construction specifications. Staff will rebid this project with the bid opening on August 24, 1995.
