ST0501-CS090406(9/2/2009) Diwanna Baskins - Fw: Deforest Road Project- Update From: Diwanna Baskins To: Karen Johnson CC: Roni Seemann Date: 4/6/200910:55 AM Subject: Fw: Deforest Road Project- Update It's my pleasure, Karen! We will be hosting another public meeting to review the updated plans. I want to get definitive direction on the franchise utility issue before I schedule the public meeting. I am in the process of getting a full set submittal from the design engineer for Deforest. There are a few minor drainage and water changes from the meeting. (The last meeting I told you about) From there we will review and then schedule the public meeting. I do not have an update on the franchise utility discussion at this time., but we are still working on it. updated timeline... 1) Begin Right-of -Way acquisition in the next 30 - 60 days 2) Begin Utility locates during the 4th quarter of 2009. 3) Begin Construction during 1st quarter of 2010 We do have half size drawing sets in the office. I think it is easier on the eyes for you to look at the full size set, if you wanted to see the plans before the public meeting. Let me know of any other concerns. Sincerely, Diwanna »> Karen Johnson <kmjohnson56@yahoo.com> 3/30/200912:32 PM »> Diwanna - I know you are busy with many projects around Coppell and want to thank you for keeping us up to date on the Deforest Road project! Is there anything new on the progress of this project or feedback from the utilities regarding burying poles? Will there be another opportunity for public review/comment of the plans as they develop further? Thanks again for your help. Deforest Road Project- Update Hi Diwanna, I accidently hit send on the previous a-mail. Please disregard! Thank you for the update. It sounds like we are still a ways from a decision on the utilities...even on the final plans for the road improvement project start. Do you have a sense for the outcome on burying the utilities? Every time I drive past those unsightly leaning utility poles I think what a shame that they may remain after spending all this money on improving the roadway. Right now the trees camouflage the poles to some extent. Once all of those trees are down...we will be left with the utility poles. I really appreciate you keeping me updated Diwanna.
