You are correct that we, the city, will make modifications to the stone around the monument sign and restore it to its original condition or as close as possible with available materials. The "remove obstructions" portion pertains to situations where it is not possible to build the sidewalk unless obstructions/debris/vehicles, etc are present; which does not apply to you. Instead of removing the monument sign, we are modifying the base. The portion about "Grantee shall not be obligated for future maintenance and upkeep of the surface area" refers to maintenance of the grass (mowing), vegetation, or any other items that are not the sidewalk or retaining wall. I will include this e-mail in the file for record. Hopefully, I have clarified all of your concerns. If not, absolutely let me know! We are definitely not trying to misle r misconstrue our intentions. Last paragraph. "Grantee shall, except for removed obstructions, ifet~xX'rn th area of the Easement to its original condition as [~ nearly as practical...." The language, "except for removed obstructions" should be stricken. It's my understanding that it is necessary to modifications to the rock around the monument sign. I thought it was our ag eem the city would put this back to its original condition as close as possible. 2. Last sentence, "...Grantee shall not be obligated for future maintenance and upkeep of the surface area." This should be "Grantor". Thanks. I have attached the easement documents that will need to be signed and returned to me. As I stated in our last conversation, the city will build and maintain the proposed retaining wall that will be located on your property. I am in the process of working with the other property owners to move forward with this project. I know the citizens are excited about continuous sidewalk along Denton Tap and I think it will have a positive outcome for businesses along Denton Tap and the City of Coppell. I will keep in touch and work with you on the construction timeline and all that comes with that once we get to that point. If you have any questions, suggestions, or want to inquire on the status of the project; please don't hesitate to call or email me. Thanks again and talk to you soon!
