Dear Mr. Hindman:
Enclosed with this letter please find marked up plans showing changes during the
construction of the referenced sewer line. These plans are being provided in response to
your March 11, 1997 letter requesting these drawings so you can repair the "as recorded"
drawings. Please use these documents in preparing your as recorded drawings and return
the as recorded drawings per the contract to the City along with these marked up copies.
Your March 11, 1997 letter also discussed the design related to the Northlake Nursery. As
of this date, the City has still not been provided with a design that will work. Your first
two designs did not accomplish the goal of rerouting the sewer line off the Northlake
Nursery. As I requested in my August 26, 1996 letter, prior to authorizing HDR to proceed
with yet another design, the City would like an idea of what the cost would be on the third
design and how much HDR would then contribute to the additional work, over and above
what was bid in the project. I know that HDR has previously committed $5,709 to the
alternate construction. However, that number may need to be discussed based on the
financial cost of a third design.
