The children at play signs would be great and thank you foryour help. I
should have clarified that the kids play in the yards and on the sidewalks
around the cul-de-sac. Occasionally they ride their bikes in the
cul-de-sac. We try to keep the kids in the yards and sidewalks as much as
possible but I do understand whatyou are saying. I thinkthe children at
play signs will help deterspeeders and wrong turns. Thank you again.

No Problem whatsoever. This e-mailing actually has been pretty good in
timing. Plus, I have been in meetings all day.
One thing that I need to mention is that the City of Coppell cannot condone
children playing in the street and using it as a playground.
I drove past Castlebury not too long ago coming from a meeting and there
were cars parked on-street, which is good. On-street parking tends to slow
drivers also. I was able to check if the "no outlet" sign is erected stand
alone or on the same stand with the stop sign. The way it is erected,
motorists should have fairwarning while driving on Sandy Lake.
I did not see any "children at play" signs. (I did not travel along
Castlebury, only passed it) So, I will look into the possibility of
"children at play" signs, which would give a warning to drivers that turn
onto Castlebury.

Sorry for the delay. It is a yellow "No Outlet" sign.

Is there a "no outlet" or "dead end" sign erected?
»> "Tami Millspaugh" <tami.millspaughtx@gmail.com> 6/9/2009 5:01 PM »>
Thank you for responding. It is not necessarily our neighbors. It is
usually people who realize it's a dead end street and speed to get in and
out. Our children play inthe cul-de-sac all the time so it's quite scary
when this happens. We notice it at all times of the day and night. Some
days are worse than others. We are open to other suggestions as well. We
have a sign that says no outlet but that doesn't seem to slow them down.
It's younger drivers. Let me knowwhat else I can help you with. Thank you
again.

Hello Tami,
Thanks for submitting your requestlinquiry to the City of Coppell.
I received your inquiry regarding speeding and speed humps on Castlebury
Court. Castlebury is a relatively short street, approximately 500 feet long
with 19 homes. I would like to assume that most of the speeders you have
noticed are neighbors. What days and times have you noticed the speeding?
After I receive your response with the days and times, I will forward that
information to the Police Department for enforcement of those speeders.
After which, I will further explain our traffic calming program.
The traffic volume on that street should be pretty low. Identifying the
speeders should be an easier feat for the Police Department. Hope you hear
from you soon!
Sincerely,
