RE: Grapevine III & IV, and Bethel Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements (SS 94-02)
The City of Coppell has reviewed the bids for the referenced project. Due m the apparent
confusion regarding the number of calendar days, all bids for the Sanitary Sewer Improvements
for Grapevine III, IV and Bethel Road (SS 94-02) will be rejected at the August 8th City Council
meeting. For clarification, it was the City's intent to have all three sections completed in 120
calendar days. However, seven of the nine bidders proposed more than 120 days.
The City anticipates readvertising the project on August 4th, with the bid opening during the
week of August 21st. The calendar days will be revised and the construction specifications
rewritten to insure that there is no confusion. A new set of specifications can be obtained from
the City's Purchasing Department at no charge.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience that the rejection of the bids may have caused. Each bidder
is encouraged to again bid on the project. If you should have any questions please give me a
