Subject: Question for you Re: Lighting
Ken -
I'm a resident of the Peninsulas of Coppell. I had spoken with Keith Marvin several times over the past year, but
not in the past 6 months, about the bridge lights on the MacArthur Bridge over the Denton Creek Channel. I
understand the history (once operated by City of Lewisville - in order for Coppell to now pay for service, have to
first run a new meter).
My e-mail to you is two fold -one to ask you if you know of a status on this? (Residents of the Peninsulas of
Coppell over and over again are complaining and would really like to have these lights on.)
But, two, is to asklupdate you on the 3 median lights that are north of this bridge. In the past they have been on
(and I have noticed that in the past they have been maintained by City of Lewisville -even though they are within
our city limits.) They are NO LONGER coming on at night. It makes for a very dark roadway from Lake Vista to E
and W Peninsula. With the increased traffic (both cars and foot) with all of the new development, it can be
dangerous at night.
I've put a request in through the on-line system for the median lights, but wanted to send you this a-mail because I
have a feeling it's not going to be a "typical" request -like when a street light in my neighborhood is out and I fill
out the on-line request.
Any insight you have on this would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to respond to this a-mail or call me at
972-304-5184.
Thanks,
Leslie Feray
