LMC has no knowledge or authority regarding where this mixture is to be placed, Therefore it is the direct responsibility of the Purchaser, the project
architect or engineer, and or contractor to insure that the above designed mixb~re parameters for compressive strength, mixture proportions or rotas,
and other required performance parameters are appropriate for the anhcipaled environmental, durability, or usage conditions in ACI 318 Chapter 4
and/or the relevant local building codes.
LMG warrants the supplied ready-mix concrete mixture designs which LMC guarantees will achieve the specified compressive strength, or other
performance properties o(the concrete slated in the Contract Documents, as were made available at the time of quotation, when tested and evaluated
in accordance with ASTM C172-99, ASTM C31iC31M-03a (including proper indial curing as per Section 10.1.2), ASTM C39/C39M-01, ASTM
G94/C94M-07, or other standard lest methods indicated in the Contract pocumenls that were necessary to verify the additional performance properties
of the concrete, and when the rewmmended procedures for placement and curing of the in-place concrete, or those specifically outlined in ACI
305R-99 and ACI 306R-88 are followed, if and when necessary. Additional information can be found in the Limited Warranty for Ready Mix Concrete.
In accordance with ASTM C94/C94M-07 Section 4.6, Lattimore Materials Company shall receive all copies of testing reports, and they should be
forwarded to our Quality Control Department (fax 972-221-9647) as soon as available. Failure to forward reports in a timely fashion can delay response
time in dealing with concrete concerns as welt as tuture project submittals.

Construction-Grade Grout
R.
~~.
MAY 2007
(Supersedes February 2004)
DESCRIPTION
CG-86 construction-Bade gout is anon-ferrous,
non-gaseous, non-shrink economical gout. It was
specifically developed as a high strength, cost-
effective, general purpose grout for use across a
broad range of large and small construction
projects. CG-86 is non-gaseous, will not rust and
contains no added chlorides or gypsum. It is
furnished pre-mixed and ready to use. CG-86 may
be extended for deep gouting with pea gavel for
Beater yield and increased economy.
USES
CG-86 is very versatile and maybe used for
either interior or exterior applications. CG-86 is
designed for base-plate gouting, anchoring, pre-
cast wall panels and bridge seats.

APPLICATION
All grouting should be done using established
procedures according to American Concrete Institute
recommendations.
Surface Preparation ... All grout contact surfaces
must be free of oil, grease, scale, etc. Unsound
concrete must be chipped out. Leave surface rough
but level. Grouting area must be saturated with water
12-24 hours prior to grouting. Remove all excess
water before placing grout.
Pouring ... Method of forming must provide for
rapid, continuous grout placement. Ensure form is
well sealed.
Placement ... CG-86 is easily placed by pouring or
pumping and compaction can be accomplished by
rodding or light vibrating. Place grout on one side,
flowing to opposite and adjacent sides, to avoid
entrapment of air. When necessary, provide vent
holes. Grout "head" and excess grout maybe removed
after initial set.
Curing ... Cure CG-86 immediately following
application using a suitable curing compound from W.
R. MEADOWS, or in accordance with ACI 308. W.
R. MEADOWS recommends 2250-WHITE or 1130-
CLEAR for curing. When conditions exist for rapid
early water loss, the use of EVAPRETM, an
evaporation retarder from W. R. MEADOWS, is also
recommended.
Venting ... Forming also must ensure adequate
venting to avoid air entrapment. Do not make close
fitting forms; allow 1/2" (12.7 mm) clearance and 1"
(25.4 mm) for "head."
Mixing ... Small quantities of CG-86 maybe
hand mixed in a concrete mixing pan until lump-
free. For large quantities and continuous pours,
use a mortar mixer with rubber-tipped blades.
Mix for a minimumof three minutes or until
uniform and lump-free. Use minimum water
required to produce desired placement
consistency. Do not mix more than can be placed
in 30 minutes. Do not re-temper. Use only clean,
potable water.
Set time and strength development are dependent
on temperature; therefore, follow ACI methods
during hot or cold weather grouting.
ACI 305 - "Standard on hot weather concreting"
ACI 306 - "Standard on cold weather concreting"
Cost reductions are realized when grouting large
areas by adding washed, dried and graded pea
gravel. For thicknesses 2" to 4", add up to 25%
3/8" pea gravel. For medium-flow mixes, 4" and
over, add up to 50% 3/8" pea gravel, plastic mix.
Addition of pea gravel is based on percentage of
the weight of the dry grout.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not use as a repair mortar. (Please contact
W. R. MEADOWS for specific repair mortar
recommendations.) Normal cement storage
handling practices should be observed. Grouting
should be done using established concreting
procedures according to ACI recommendations.
Read and follow application information,
precautions and Material Safety Data Sheet
information.
