concrete, plastic and clay pipe.
• Suitable for all types of pipes, including potable water systems

Directions for Use
Clean all joint surfaces. Make certain thatthe gasket is properly positioned.
Apply an even coating of lubricant to the inside of the bell and outside of spigot and gasket.
Assemble the joint according to the pipe manufacturer's directions.

productis NSF/AfVS1 Std. 61 compliant.

MATERIALS
Flange Ductile (nodu{ar) iron, meets or exceeds ASTM A536, Grade 65-45-12.304
Stainless Steel optional. All flanges in accordance with ANSI class 125 and150
drillings and recessed to accept tapping valve.
Stainless Steel Meets or exceeds ASTM A 240 type 304 UNS designated S30400.
Outlet Heavy gauge 304E Stainless Steel. Fused to shell by GMAW weld on the
outside and GTAW weld on the inside.
Shell Heavy gauge Stainless Steel top half 304E back half 304.
Sidebars Heavy gauge 304 Stainless Steel, GTAW welded to form permanent fusion with
shell.
Bolts 304 Stainless Steel. 518-11 UNC thread. Track head.
Nuts 304 Stainless Steel, Heavy hex, 5/8-11 UNC thread. Nuts coated to prevent galling.
Armors Heavy gauge 304 Stainless Steel.
Gaskets Virgin SBR rubber compounded for water and sewer service in accordance with
ASTM D 2000 MAA 610. Speciaify designed grid pattern and tapered ends to
assure seat around foil circumference of pipe. Reinforced ring at outlet provides
hydrodynamic seas. Other compounds available for petroleum or high temperature
service, or other special applications.
WELDS GMAW and GTAW weld processes. 308E Stainless Steel filler wire used as
appropria#e. Flange weld is GMAW type proprietary process: Ali welds fully
passtvated for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Pressure When properly installed, the Romac Style SST ill Tapping Sleeve can work at
pressures up to 200 psi. Test pressures should not exceed 300 psi.
