RE: Point West VII Parking Expansion
Dear Mr. Marvin,
Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers has proposed a temporary solution to a
utility conflict for the north drainage channel outfall for the Point West VII
Parking Expansion project. Currently, an existing Verizon fiber optics line runs
perpendicular to the existing 48" storm drain stub out near the pipe's flowline.
This conflict would not allow a same size pipe connection as originally designed
without adjusting either the fiber optic line or the existing storm pipe. The
temporary solution would be to install a 24" storm drain connection at the
existing 48" stub out and match top of pipes. This would allow the fiber optic
line to remain in place and not require any adjustments to the existing
infrastructure.
Duke Realty, the owner of the property, agrees that upon development of the
remainder of the site, the temporary 24" storm drain will be replaced with a
storm drain appropriately sized to accommodate fully developed conditions for
the entire tract.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. We appreciate the
City's help and coordination on this matter.
Sincerely,
Kirk Klatt, P.E.
