The existing poles are indirect conflict with the proposed waterline relocation installation process along this area. The schedule submitted assumed the usage of two utility crews to complete the waterline in the specified duration. Please note that this schedule will need to be altered based on the availability of the work area due to delays by others. This delay will also impact the ability of our firm to assist Tiseo in the pursuit of the early completion bonus. NTC will require an updated schedule based an the relocation of the power pales as soon as the work is complete as the contractual schedule we provided must be considered void at this time. NTC will ,:*.tempt to keep the proposed second crew for this work uncommitted, but needs to know the realistic relocation date as to assure the availability of a second crew for this project. Please provide direction in this matter as soon as possible and thanks for the help. NTC requested line locates and has noted that Verizon's locating service was onsite yesterday and could not accurately locate multiple lines that cross the proposed water line. A Verizon supervisor was called onsite and also stated that they cannot determine what is existing and cannot determine the accurate location of these lines per their state regulated tolerance requirements. As NTC began to hand excavate to attempt to locate these lines other lines of unknown origin have been discovered. Over half the day was spent investigating locate marks where no utilities were ever located despite excavation in excess of ten feet deep. In the first one hundred feet of proposed water fine, nine existing utilities were located by hand that will be crossed. Only one existing utility line is shown on the bid documents and an assumed investigation was included in our proposal price. Due to these existing utilities not being shown on the bid documents or accurately (orated our firm will incur additional costs for these items. Alternative shoring methods will be required, additional investigation work has been performed, as well as a contractual calendar day has been spent without any utility pay item installation. Please note that our firm intends to track the cost impact of these items and will possible pursue reimbursement from the Owner for these items as well as a time extension for the differing conditions. Please notify the Owner of these issues as NTC wilt continue to document the impacts including photographs far further validation. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
