Ken,
I spoke today with Jim O' Brien that received the e-mail from you describing the study you requested for the
fence. What I understand he understood is that basically what is required from you would be an hydraulic study
that, even without going to FEMA, will cost me (Jim's estimate) anything between $6,000 and $10,000.
As we talked about when we met few weeks back, I am sure you understand something like this constitutes a
disproportioned expense as compared to the $2,800 iron fence.
I would like to see, if possible, what Burt Weathersby (from the other engineering company - Carter & Burgess)
says, but I am afraid, if that is the study requested, things are unlikely to get better for me.
Let me know if there is something I am missing, or I, unfortunately, got it right.

Ken,
I am back in town and I will follow up with the two gentleman mentioned below. Last time I talked
to them, before the holidays, they told me they tried to get in touch with you several times to get a
better idea of the documentaion you required, but they were unsuccessful. Hope they made it by
now.

Ken,
you should receive a couple of calls to gather details of the study requested. One from
Jim O'Brien (O'Brien Engineering) and one from Burt Weathersby (I believe was his
last name - from Carter & Burgess).
I will be out of town for 2 weeks starting next wednesday but I will follow up with
these 2 companies in the next few days after they had a chance to talk to you.
