Mr. Griffin,
The PEs requesting the topo lines for this project were able to pick up our shapefile from our FTP site. They
lacked the directions to know how to use them in their AutoCAD software. Scott was able to send them
AutoCAD directions from the AutoCAD help file that he uses to show the elevations within the CAD software. It
appears they were unable to follow those directions. Scott is in the process of doing the conversion for them
and will place the file on the FTP site and notify the two PEs (
Ronald W. Morrison & Steven R. Homeyer )
requesting this data.
Ronald W. Morrison in Hillsboro told us he uses AutoCAD Light which may not be able to
use our data despite Scott's conversion. If the PEs involved cannot use the file Scott is converting for them now,
we may have to print off a map showing topo over the area of interest and their CAD technicians will have to
manually type the elevations over the topo lines in their AutoCAD .dwg. That would be a lot of work for them
depending on the extent of their project.
