Not sure if you are aware of this, (I just found out) but the phones lines to the Hard 8 were cut last
night at about 4:45 pm and they are still not repaired. Apparently, Rick Trevino of Verizon showed up
yesterday evening and started accusing our contractor of causing the damage and demanding that he
dig down so they could locate where he damaged the lines. At the time, our contractor and Verizon's
contractor were both working on the project. Luckily, our inspector, (Albert) was there and told
Verizon that they should investigate where they were boring first before our contractor called in a crew
and started digging. Of course, as soon as Verizon's contractor removed his boring bit it was obvious
that they caused the damage because the phone lines were wrapped around the bit.
This is a new approach for Verizon - they destroy there own phone lines.
The repairs should be completed today.
