MEMORANDUM

Steve Goram, Director of Public Works
Larry D~Construction Inspector
Rey Gonzales, Street Superintendent~_~
MacArthur Blvd. Extension
Mr. Ron Davis, with the firm of J. D. Abrams, Inc., has made a
request to close and detour the intersection of MacArthur Blvd. and
Deforest Road and route traffic via Lake Forest. (See
attachments)
After reviewing the construction plans with Mr. Davis and
discussing the type of construction required in the intersection,
closing the intersection and detouring traffic would be in order to
insure public safety in the construction zone and allow
reconstruction of the intersection to proceed in a timely order,
according to the approved construction plans.
Notification of the proposed closure and detour has been
transmitted to all residents along Deforest Road, as well as the
City of Coppell Police Dept., Fire Dept., Postal Service,
Sanitation collection, and Coppell I.S.D. All items of concern
that you forwarded on 2/21/91 have been addressed and Staff
recommends going forward with this project. A public notice has
also been placed with Paragon Cable service.
The thirty (30) day detour and closure requested will commence on
Thursday, February 28, 1991 or as otherwise directed by you. Your
assistance in this matter will be appreciated.
Thank you.
