D. Abrams, Inc., has made a request to close and detour the intersection of MacArthur Blvd. and Deforest Road and route traffic via Lake Forest. (See attachments) After reviewing the construction plans with Mr. Davis and discussing the type of construction required in the intersection, closing the intersection and detouring traffic would be in order to insure public safety in the construction zone and allow reconstruction of the intersection to proceed in a timely order, according to the approved construction plans. Notification of the proposed closure and detour has been transmitted to all residents along Deforest Road, as well as the City of Coppell Police Dept., Fire Dept., Postal Service, Sanitation collection, and Coppell I.S.D. All items of concern that you forwarded on 2/21/91 have been addressed and Staff recommends going forward with this project. A public notice has also been placed with Paragon Cable service. The thirty (30) day detour and closure requested will commence on Thursday, February 28, 1991 or as otherwise directed by you. Your assistance in this matter will be appreciated. Thank you. Abrams, Inc. (see attached). The purpose of the detour and closure is to complete street construction activity on MacArthur Blvd. North to Vista Ridge. Mr. Davis has requested the detour be placed in operation on Thursday, February 28, 1991 for approximately thirty (30) days.
