SS9901A-PR011211Ken Griffin - Revised Pricin for t 3 0" Sanitary Sewer Line Pa 1 From: <dmergen @ccg mail. com> To: City_ of _Coppell.Town_Center(kgriffin) Date: Tue, Dec 11, 2001 4:34 PM Subject: Revised Pricing for the 30" Sanitary Sewer Line Ken, The attachment in the message below covers the revised pricing for the 30" sanitary sewer work that we discussed last week. We did not include any costs for any required construction permits for this work because, as we understand it, the permit costs may be waived in the agreement that the City ultimately enters into with St Joseph Village, Inc. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks much. Dan Mergen Centex Construction Company Forwarded by Daniel Mergen /CENTEX on 12/11/2001 04:20 PM --------------- Daniel Mergen 12/10/2001 12:45 PM To: jwd @orionrealty.com cc: Subject: Revised Pricing for the 30" Sanitary Sewer Line The attachment contains revised pricing for the 30" sanitary sewer which is based on our discussion last week with Mr. Griffin. Most of the decreases from the previous estimate are attributable to decreases in the scope of work, specifically decreases in the number of bends and length of pipe to be installed. The unit pricing, except for that for "boring ", is the same as in the previous estimate. The unit price for boring increased from $230 to $275 per lineal foot to reflect changing from a "wet' boring method to a "dry" boring method which is the method the City typically specifies and requires. A new line item for surveying was added to the estimate in the amount of $4,000 to cover the cost of setting controls for the installation of the line. A new line item was added in the amount of $6,000 for a payment and performance bond for our subcontractor. A new line was also added in the amount of $4,502 for a Centex Payment and Performance Bond. Mr. Griffin had indicated that these bonds are typically required by the City.
