Ken,
I drove through the school zone several times before lunch today. Both of the signs can be clearly seen from a distance of
approximately 100' to 150'. They both currently have red flags attached to the top of them also. I did not have a problem
noticing them but I was looking for them. The flashers should solve this problem. We should have them up within the next
two weeks.
In order to increase the sight distance of the signs, it would be necessary to perform some major trimming on some trees
that are currently very well landscaped. I have a feeling that there would be some very upset citizens if we were to trim
them back more.
We could send letters to the property owners and homeowners association asking them to trim them back and give them a
dead line in which to have it completed. After the deadline had passed we could trim them ourselves if necessary.
Let me know if you would like for us to take this problem any further.
Thanks, Glenn

Glenn
This is what I've been talking about for several weeks. I'm not sure if we ever did anything, but if we had done something, I
probably would not have received an email from the Manager's office.
Please have someone look at this and ensure that all signs are unobstructed and visible, from a distance and up close. We
may need to get created.
Thanks

Any chance we can mark the school zone better while we are waiting on the flashers? Trees
blocking signs, etc..... Thanks.
