Your tree is a visibility issue. I thought the code enforcement official explained that to you. There's really
no way the tree can remain. I'm on an interview panel today for a new Building Official, so I'm not available
by phone today. We can discuss this on the phone tomorrow.

Good Afternoon Ken,
I was hoping to get an update on our situation as it's been a while since we last spoke. I see that a verticle
structure was put in place in front of Wilson Elementary and a stair has been installed at the first house to
the right of the school drive.
Thank you for any information,
Shannon

We were discussing the options and I asked Keith to ensure the tree wasn't removed until we came to a
resolution. However, one thing that came up was whether or not the tree would cause a visibility issue at
the intersection. I'm not sure about you, but I've received two notices from Code Enforcement in the last
couple of years. They both concerned trimming my tree so it was the proper height above the street and
sidewalk. All aspects of code enforcement has been a high Council goal in the last few years.
I've asked Keith to get with Code Enforcement to look at the situation to make sure that if we are able to
save the tree that you won't then receive a notice requiring you to trim a large part of the tree. If the
location of the tree is going to be an ongoing issue with visibility, then we may want to discuss option 3
further. If we land on option 3, there is not a problem with the city assisting in the replanted of a tree.
I'll let you know when I have additional information.
