SUBJECT: Water Supply Line ~ Coppell - Meeting April 261h
I met with Pate Bros. (Oolden & Bruce) and Charley Ciriffith with Bore Co. Also present
was Larry Davis with City of Coppell and Tim Bilyeu on April 26, 1996. We discussed
the bore across MacArthur BIrd ~ Bethel School Rd. There appears to be a vast erataunt
of fill that is causing the road to sluff off while attempting ~e bore. It is being hand dug.
Chin'Icy Griffith expressed his concern that due to the natm'e of existing soil, it would
take longer than m~ticipated to cross MacArthm- BIrd. I explained to all in attendm~cc
that the main concern is to put emphasis on safety ilrst, not only for conslruction workers
but lbr citizens of Coppell. As the job progresses towards completion, we may at thai
time have to review m~d adjust the time allowable due to difficulty of bore m~d effort by
contractor. lhe Superintendent for Oriffith has stated that it will take approxi~natcly 26
working days (at 6' a day 4-156) to complete bore.
