Re:
G~evine In Sanitary Sewer
Coppell, Texas
HDR No. 08015-001-037
I received a telephone call yesterday from a utility depamnent staff pecan and also a follow
up call from Mr. Matt Cast. According to infommfion provided, the manho~ indieal~ on
the attached sk~h do not exist. Our surveyor was also unable to locate these manhoLes on
their earlier investigation. At the time this sewer was televiewed it was determined that the
manholes indicated on the master map were not consmacted. The sewer line across the
railroad r.o.w, was cons~ and plugged.
I have enclosed a preliminary sewer design that allows for the abandonment of the 8 IN
sewer across the property located north of the railroad. This design involves relaying a
portion of sewer, crossing of the railroad r.o.w., extending the sewer through an existing
alley and connection to an existing manhole in Glendale Drive. In order for this line to
meet minimum grade requirements, it would need to be constructed as a 12 IN diameter
If the City would like to further pursue the rerouting of the sewer to the east along the
railroad, the plugged end of the sewer must be exposed in order to enable measurement of
the sewer invert elevation. Should the City opt to for the sewer rerouting presented with
this letter, please let me know and we will proceed in the preparation of construction
drawings.
