Based on the administrative approval drawings you furnished, the wall has obviously changed dramatically and the permit application no longer accurately reflects the work to be done. This means it is not ready to be approved on my end. In my November set, no specific wall material is noted (although I understand it is shown on your color board) and no cap on the wall is shown. No 'bumps' (pilasters) are detailed anywhere on my drawings, even though they now show up on your set. The set I have does not reflect any wrought iron metal work or connection details. Finally, one of the biggest problems is that there is no information whatsoever on the (dual ?) entry tower feature. Based on what you sent, we would need additional information with regard to sizes, structural details, plan views, etc. I might also note that no location for the wall was ever dimensioned on the November permit application. I was, however, instructed at that time to add the note "Wall to be constructed in center of wall easement ". Since Ken is going to review the drawings, with respect to utilities and wall location, that note may need to ultimately change as well. At that time Larry and Mike in Engineering looked at the drawings. Our office has been holding this permit waiting on the final plat based on David Dodds opinion not to issue screening wall permit until final plat is approved. We have also received a copy of the hold harmless. It sounds like if David is comfortable with the hold harmless wording AND if Ken is OK with location, I can issue permit. If Ken needs to review this further for location, please let me know. I have a call in to David Dodd to find out if he is OK with wording. I think he is here this morning. Are we making that happen? I also know that Taylor -Olson expects us to follow through on the plat approval that the applicant has requested since we made the offer to do so. I realize that the property will then be re- platted once FEMA finalizes the flood plain issue. Are we moving forward with the plat as requested? Given the contentiousness of the situation regarding the developer and the fact that we are in the middle of litigation, I have asked David Dodd to attend the P &Z meeting when the plat is considered. We just want to make sure we have legal representation present n the event something unusual is presented from the developer and to be available to provide legal counsel to the P &Z.
