It was my understanding that we had agreed to allow the inset on the second page because legally there
is not a requirement, either in our rules and regulations or state law, that requires abandoned easements
to be shown on plats. I know he showed it on the plat submitted just so he could get his wall permit
but I don't think there's any way to require it on the filed plat. The inset was a compromise agreed to
long before he submitted anything for a wall permit. he did try to play a shell game with us when he
submitted his first plat this week (or maybe last week) after he had obtained his permit. That plat did
not have the easement shown or any inset. After that submission, we fell back to our prior compromise
that allowed an inset.
