Hard 8 BBQ-CS060810 (2/23/2010) Ken Griffin - Re: Hard 8Page 1 From: Tim Oates To:Keith Marvin; Ken Griffin; Mindi Hurley Date: 8/10/2006 7:25 AM Subject: Re: Hard 8 FYI Hard 8 submitted building construction plans on June 26, 2006, plans were approved on June 29, 2006, and Hard 8 picked the plans and permit up on July 19, 2006. >>> Mindi Hurley 8/9/2006 5:50 PM >>> Tim, Keith and Ken, I just wanted to give you all a quick update. I spoke to Lee on the phone earlier today so he knows all of this information, too. Steve McMullen from Hard 8 called me and asked about the site lighting plan. That plan was not in the stuff we had from Pacheco Koch so they still need that and thought the city was taking care of that. I found the original contract and checked it. In one place, it said Pacheco Koch was preparing a site lighting plan, and later in the document the site lighting plan was crossed out. So, I talked to Chad Jackson with Pacheco to find out what the final decision was, and he said they were not responsible for preparing the site lighting plan. Clay said to get an estimate from Pacheco Koch to find out how much it would cost for them to prepare the plan. Whether the city will pay for it or Hard 8 will is unclear to me right now, but we will get that resolved soon. When Steve with Hard 8 called, he said they could not get their permit without the cost estimates for the site lighting plan because that cost calculated into the inspection fees that are still outstanding. Clay's orders to me were to call Hard 8 and tell them that they do not have to pay the inspection fees now (waivers and credits for the fees that were left, which you all know from our meeting from last Friday) so that should not be holding them up in getting their permit. He asked for them to issue a hold harmless letter in order to pick up their building permit, too. (I actually thought they already had a building permit, but I don't know that for sure and am just repeating what I was told.) If there is anything unclear about any of this, please let me know. I don't know where they pick up the construction permit, but I know they pick up a building permit from Fire Admin. I just wanted to make sure everyone had all the latest information I have to avoid more confusion. Thanks!
