SS9301-SP 930503 (7)Poly Line FE-100 Coatings Lining Systems for New Construction or the Rehabilitation of Wastewater Structures and Pipe DESCRIPTION: POLY LINE FE-100 is a two-component, 100% solids epoxy lining'designed for high build vertical and overhead applications. It was designed as a chemically resistant liner to be applied on damp or dry concrete surfaces such as man- holes, lift stations and large diameter pipes. Th,~.pmDe, d¥_a_p.p, lied and cured . SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces to be prepared shall be free of any concrete curing agents, oils. bacterial or algae growth, grease or oily residue. A waterblast of 2500 psi or more may be necessary to remove loose matter or contaminants from surface to be coated· Seal all act~ve hydrostatic leaks prior to application of POLY LINE FE-100. MIXING: POLY LINE FE-100 is supplied as two components. Part A being the resin and Part B the curing compound. Pour and scrape Part B into Part A and mix using a "Jiffy Mixer" for five (5) minutes until a uniform color is achieved. APPLICATION: POLY LINE FE.100 may be applied using either a stiff paste brush or steel trowel to a thickness of up to 65 mils on vertical and overhead surfaces. When applying POLY LINE FE-100 to dry concrete surfaces, work the lining material into the surface by applying and finishing in a crosshatch pattern. Applying POLY LINE FE-100 to damp concrete surfaces requires that a thin layer be squeegeed into the surface leaving only a few mils of material. The remaining material can then be applied to achieve the desired liner thickness. COVERAGE: Application thickness of 40 mils will yield - 40 sq. ft. per gal. PRECAUTIONS: ' POLY LINE FE-100 should be applied only when substrate and ambient temperatures are above 40°F. Thinners and solvents should not be used to thin POLY LINE FE-100 as the solvents will prevent the liner from curing properly. Clean equipment with mineral spirits or lacquer thinners. SAFETY: Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves when working with POLY LINE FE-100. Read the Material Safety Data sheets before using these materials. STORAGE: Containers of POLY LINE FE-100 should be stored in a cool dry place both before and after mixing. This will help prolong the pot life of the mixed lini.qg material.
