I received your request regarding the intersection of MacArthur Blvd. and Deforest Road. The city has recently entered into
a contract with an engineering firm to design significant improvements to Deforest Road from MacArthur east to Windsor
Estates.
While the improvements do not currently include the construction of a traffic signal at the intersection, we have been
discussing adding one. We will perform the necessary evaluations, and if it is determined that a signal is warranted we will
add it to the construction plans for the street improvements. We anticipate beginning construction on this project during
the first quarter of 2009.
