I had a conversation with Mr. Callejo concerning his property and Freeport Pkwy.. He said that
Republic was not in the picture any longer because of their concerns with gas leases, etc. I won't repeat
everything he said. Mr. Callejo now wants to construct Freeport, using the same funding that we have
in place with TxDOT or NCTCOG. He also stated that he was having trouble with the cell tower
people and he might want us to condemn the cell tower.
This project gets more intriguing everyday. I'm not really sure what the status of the Republic contract
is, but has there been any recent conversations with Republic? Also, NCTCOG still does not have an
agreement with TxDOT on funding or our agreement.
