Keith,
I wanted to follow up and summarize our conversation this week regarding the environmental work for Freeport.
1.
The City will submit their standard documentation to THC for determination if an archeological survey of
the project is warranted. If the result of their evaluation does require the survey, then TNP can retain the
services of a specialized subconsultant for these services.
2.
TNP shall proceed with the additional environmental services outlined in the NCTCOG draft Environmental
Review Checklist. We will answer the checklist items pertaining to the civil design, and assemble the
required documentation. We will track our time on these services independently of the currently contracted
work.
3.
Upon completion of the checklist items relative to the civil design, TNP will solicit a proposal from a
specialized subconsultant to complete the necessary additional evaluations, paperwork and NCTCOG
coordination.
4.
A portion of the NCTCOG checklist pertains to USACE 404 permitting and the determination of waters of
the U.S. This work is currently contracted under TNP’s existing Freeport agreement with the City.
