We have reviewed city records specifically related to funding of Thweatt
Park. According to our records no Land and Water Conservation
Funds (Section 6(f)) were used to purchase or develop this park.
It appears that we applied for funding in 1996, however the application
was not approved.
Please let me know if you need any additional information

Alma, I met with the City of Coppell yesterday about Sandy lake Road.
The City says the land for the park was originally for a new fire
station. I think the Consultant said in their deed research discovered
the same thing. Alma, call TNP and find out if they have a copy of the
deed.
