MCHale. At the same time, the MCHale's donated 2.5 acres of drainage way, adjacent to the purchased property. Purportedly, the site was purchased for usage as a Fire station, but that use was obviously not carried out. The site was determined to be best used as a park and the name given to it in November 1995, was Thweatt Park, because of the name of the road fronting the site. we do not have record of earlier history of the site.
