Thalik you for your voicemail of March 25, 2010 regarding the City's fence ordinance
and request for the City to enforce said ordinance.
T infortumately all I can do at this point is encourage you to file a complaint with the City
regarding any violation which you believe exists. It is up to the City in its discretion on how to
liwidle, anchor resolve your complaint. Equally unfortunate is that neither you, I nor any court of
competent jrlrisdiction has any authority to make a municipality enforce (or not enforce, as the
case may be) any of its ordinances or regulations. This is analogous to a police officer who stops
,in individual on any public roadway. No individual, group or court, etc., can make that officer
issue a citation. The officer does not have to issue a citation just because be /she observes a
,dolation. Consequently, I do not think any conversation we had would be of any service to you,
but merely a disingenuous waste of your time.
