A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
RATIFYING ACTIONS OF THE CITY MANAGER IN
EMERGENCY STREET REPAIRS ON BETHEL
EFFECTIVE DATE.
COPPELL, TEXAS
CONTRACTS FOR
AND PROVIDING AN
WHEREAS, by Article 1-5, Section 1-5-6G
Coppell, Texas authorized expenditures
in the event of an emergency declared by the City
Code of Ordinances of the City of

approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has
street failures along Bethel Road and the

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
SECTION 1, That the City Manager of the City of Coppell, Texas declares that an
emergency exists as the necessity for certain road and subgrade repairs on Bethel Road.
That the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas approves the
emergency made by the City Manager and ratifies that a procurement was necessary to
preserve or the public health and safety of the residents of Coppell and because of public
calamity which required the immediate appropriation of money to relieve the necessity of
the residents of Coppell and to preserve the property of the City.
SECTION 3. That the actions by the City Manager in executing Contracts by and
between the City of Coppell, Texas and Dallas County and Pavement Construction is hereby
ratified.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately fi~om and after its
passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
