They are not to proceed with anything until we receive costs for proposed scope of work. Fain Construction had reported yesterday they should have something to us this week. The contractor understands this has to be approved prior to proceeding with any work. On the bronze plaques located on the curved concrete/granite memorial wall to the north of the pavilion building the City was going to make arrangements to have these plaques designed and installed. It currently is not in the construction contact. Jim Witt had discussed this with Larry Sloane concerning the concept or what the city had in mind for this area. You probably need to discuss this with Clay Phillips and let us know what direction we need to take. Thanks, Ken Baxter Senior Project Manager J. Stuart Todd, Inc. Architecture/Interiors/Planning 2919 Welborn Dallas, Texas 75219 214-522-4033 214-522-7988 fx. -----Original Message----- From: Tom Omick [mailto:tomick@ci.coppell.tx.us] Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2009 4:33 PM To: Ken Baxter Subject: Ken, Ken, I am concerned about the extra monies needed to purchase lot pins, survey, and install lot pins. Will the existing contractor perform these jobs? This increase in expenses will involve a change order that needs to be approved by the City Manager. A request for a change order must be completed and approved before any change order is effective. I will need contractor proposals, costs, and pricing data to justify the change. Another situation is the placement of historical bronze plaques on the concrete walls around the pavilion, do you think the contractor would also want to handle this job? Tom Omick
