Dear Mr. and Mrs. Evans:
This letter is written as a follow up to a letter you should have received in February 2010
expressing the city's need for dedication of right of way or easement on your property. The
earlier letter is attached herewith for reference.
As of the writing of this letter the city has not yet acquired the necessary land to move
forward with this project. The plan is to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2010.
That is still the plan, however we must first acquire the land, and then have the various
franchise utilities (phone, gas, electricity, and cable) relocate their infrastructure prior to
beginning construction.
As a reminder, we are offering to compensate you for acquisition of this land based on values
determined by the Dallas Central Appraisal District. The attached letter from February 2010
details the offer for acquisition of this parcel of land.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally make myself available to you for any
questions, comments, discussion, or counter offers you may wish to make concerning
acquisition of this land. Please call me at your convenience to discuss this issue, or to set up
a time for me to meet you at this location to lay out what we will be doing during this project.
