TxDOT Notice of Public Hearing
State Highway 114 From Business 114 (Northwest Highway) to International Parkway And State
Highway 121 From SH 360 To FM 2499
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, February 24,
2009, at the Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas 76051. The purpose
of the hearing is to present the planned improvements to the SH 114/SH 121 "DFW Connector ". The limits
include SH 114 from east of North Kimball Avenue to east of International Parkway and SH 121 from Hall
Johnson Road to FM 2499 (Grapevine Mills Parkway). Displays will be available for viewing at 6:30 pm with
a formal hearing commencing at 7:00 pm.
The proposed improvements for the DFW Connector include six main lanes eastbound and seven main
lanes westbound and the addition of two managed express lanes in each direction with improvements to
SH 114 and SH 121 to tie to existing lanes on each end. Approximately 192 acres of additional right -of -way
would be required to accommodate the proposed improvements. The proposed improvements would
displace 16 businesses but would not relocate any residences. The proposed acquisition is discussed in the
Environmental Assessment Report prepared for the project. The State's Relocation Assistance Program, its
benefits and services for displacements, `;,ill e presented at the hearing.
Maps and other drawings depicting the proposed improvements will be displayed at the Public Hearing. In
addition, the plan layout, the Environmental Assessment and other pertinent information about the proposed
project are on file and available for inspection at the following locations:
