Relocate electrical gate controller conduit below h.c. pathway. 3. Fill in /seal open conduit in h.c. pathway next to curb. 4. Paint unfinished electrical conduit on and around gates. 5. Review what appears to be rusting on metal gate track where paint is missing/pealing. h. Review what appears to be rusting on fencing @ vertical /horizontal metal members @ intersections and base of pickets. 7. Cut off empty conduit next to gate control motor (north side). 2 8. GENERAL: The third observation meeting was held on -site, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at 8:00 a.m. The purpose of the visit was to walk the site to observe and comment on the completion of the Landscape and Irrigation installation for the Cemetery and Columbarium projects. We performed an irrigation coverage test, reviewed installed plant material and made a landscape punch list. We discussed the Landscape installation coordination with the Funeral Home Project. The shrub /turf area mow strips (aluminum header) are installed. General Contractor to clean debris off trails and rake D.G, Contractor to adjust miscellaneous turf area cut outs at Garden of Serenity Pavilion. Install header and DG per Ken Baxter, J. Stuart Todd, Inc. to match garden path. Contractor to provide all manuals, extra equipment and training to owner. B. IRRIGATION: Mainline Pressure Test was to be performed with John Elias. Minimum 60 psi with all RCV turned off. Report findings to Mike Baron, Landscape Architect, J. Stuart Todd, Inc. — City informed Ken Baxter, JST, that they didn't want to do it at this time. Missing Gate Valve at Ruby Road Entry was installed. Performed a Manual Irrigation Coverage Test off the Irrigation Controller. Controller is installed and functioning. Contractor has re- sequenced stations. City has programmed stations and is running project from central computer at each valve box completed to date. Landscape Contractor needs to coordinate irrigation cycles with City for less water around building and earlier watering when it's not windy along Ruby Road. June 19, 2009 Contractor to continue to adjust nozzles for clogging, and adjust watering times for adequate coverage during extreme weather conditions. Raise rotor heads due to excessive silt from erosion. RCV Station #22, move 1 head to comer RCV Station #23, move entry area SST to corner Q. RCV Station #49, add Q head. RCV Station #51, move header out from behind fire hydrant. RCV Station #52, add head at tree cut out. RCV Station #55, move head along CB path to SST. Irrigation as- builts to be completed and reviewed by J. Stuart Todd, Inc. Final approved and reduced copies to be returned for Rolling Oaks Memorial Center /City of Coppell, for Irrigation Controller sequencing and Water Management. Survey grave layout with irrigation head installation. Adjust as- builts. Contractor noted water smells. John Elias stated that they haven't had problems with particles clogging heads. Irrigation installation looks very good! C. PLANTING; Columbarium planting already installed. Change Liriope to Euonymus at catch basin per plan Replace Bearberry and 2 Abelia Replace 1 dead Cercis Parkway Turf looks weak - reseed. Crabgrass throughout hydro seed. Spray after hydro seed is established. Oak tree needs to be relocated behind entry corner fence per plan. Cypress relocated out from under eaves. Replace dead Elm along Ruby Dr. south of entry. Regrade area around HVAC away from building. Swale to street and/or turf area. Adjust west entry planters in front of fence. 1 row of Daylilies each side of fence and 1 row of Liriope in front. North entry island at posts needs 2 more Bearberry. Check species if it is Nana. Replace 2 dead plants Damaged plants during installation or maintenance period to be replaced at no charge to owner. Contractor to perform minor weed eradication for Nutgrass. • Page 2 June 19, 2009 Plant material to receive planting tablets and planting amendments per specifications. Shrub beds to have mulch per specifications. Maintain 2" depth. Shrub planting areas, under existing trees to remain, are to allow native grasses to grow and naturalize. Do not weed. Provide Mulch. Tree staking to be metal with caps as approved by John Elias, City of Coppell Parks. Replace 2 dead trees in Heritage Gardens, Missing 2 Crape Myrtles at East Heritage Gardens Circle Major storm erosion at NE Garden of Honor. Sodding taking place? Fertilize trees going through shock or replace at the end of maintenance period. Cut back on watering in several places. D. MAINTENANCE: City of Coppell Maintenance crews to receive training for Landscape Planting and Irrigation before finalizing Maintenance Period. Care should be given to observe plant material for pest control, adequate watering, mulch coverage, and other items per specifications. Check spray heads for clogs and adequate spray patterns throughout maintenance period. Watering times should be during minimum wind conditions and adjust per water needs. Project looks good.
